Young's Fish Market: lobster roll only $9 !!

Forever in search of fresh & meaty lobster rolls, we drove to Young's Fish Market at Rock Harbor in Orleans. The lobster roll is amazing and only costs $9, which is equally amazing. The lobster roll is 100% lobster meat jammed into a soft roll.

Young's is owned by an older couple, who, when they noticed that I was taking a picture of K & Peach in front of the market, ran outside with two large lobsters for K to hold for the picture. Obviously, I am in love with this couple; a love that is rivaled only by my love of their lobster roll.

Chatham Squire

Chatham Squire, aka The Squire, a casual restaurant on the east end of Main St in Chatham has a big menu and, surprisingly for Chatham, good prices. I highly recommend the raw oysters, which taste as though they were living in Chatham Bay just prior to being served. The native oysters are sold individually for $1.95, 6 for $10.95, or 12 for $18.95.

I was dining with a large group and everyone was very pleased with their menu selections. There was a pasta with fish cheek special that was ordered as an app and as an entree. While the flavor was delicious, the app portion could have easily passed for an entree, and the entree portion was HUGE. Although it reheated the next day quite well, it would have been nice of our waitress to mention its hugeness.

Black-Eyed Susans

The spicy thai scramble at Black-Eyed Susan's is one of the best egg preparations that I have ever encountered for several reasons- unusual, broccoli, fluffy, spicy.  I was unable to decide among hashbrowns, black-eyes peas, and cheese grits so I ordered all three and I will never regret it.  Even the toast was amazing.  I was stuffed by the time I even got around to trying the toast, but I managed to enjoy a couple buttery bites.  Ok, enough about the scramble.

The huevos rancheros were equally as delicious, but lacking the unexpectedness of the scramble.  The eggs were exactly the way they should be- runny as hell.  I would have preferred it a little more spicy, but this is something that, considering my overall satisfaction, I am more than willing to overlook.
